The Israeli Jewish Congress (IJC) was delighted to host in the Knesset yesterday an outstanding group of youth activist leaders from our friends at ‘Med Israel for fred’ (MIFF), the leading pro-Israel organization in Norway & Europe.
The group met with a number of Members of Knesset from across the political spectrum, including Dr. Aliza Lavie (Chair of Knesset’s Israel – Norway Parliamentary Friendship Group), as well as MK Amir Ohana, MK Yehuda Glick and MK Roy Folkman.
The group discussed many issues ranging from the Israeli – Palestinian conflict, Jerusalem, Iran, as well as domestic matters and ways to enhance Israel – Norway bilateral ties.
In addition, the group also received a briefing from Lahav Levine, the former senior Knesset Reporter and now News Editor at Israel’s leading paper Jerusalem Post.
In April this year, IJC was honored to participate in MIFF’s General Assembly in Oslo, marking 40 years since the organization’s founding, as well as at a special celebration of Israel’s 70 years of independence, which was attended by over 1,500 people.
We truly consider MIFF not only friends, but partners, in our mutual goal of strengthening even further the special bond between the State of Israel and Norway!
