The Israeli-Jewish Congress (IJC)
Gathering & Solidarity Mission in Israel of
Senior European Jewish Leaders
‘A Time for Action’
21-23rd, June 2015
The Israeli-Jewish Congress (IJC) is honored to hold our 5th International Gathering & Solidarity Mission in Israel of Senior European Jewish Leaders.
The delegation will include leaders and heads of Jewish communities from over 25 countries in Europe, including those at the very forefront of Antisemitism, BDS and delegitimization of Israel, including: France, Greece, Hungary, Germany, Sweden, Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Ukraine and many others.
During this time, the European Jewish leaders will meet with Speaker of the Knesset Yuli Edelstein and a number of senior Israeli Ministers and Members of Knesset, address a Special Emergency Hearing on Antisemitism by the Knesset’s Diaspora Affairs Committee, participate in briefings with IDF and hold a number of meetings with senior officials from the Foreign Ministry, Ministry of Diaspora Affairs, Prime Ministers Office, the Jewish Agency and European Ambassadors in Israel.
We are also excited to host the 4th Trilateral Dialogue, a unique initiative IJC started in November 2013, together with The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), bringing together the most senior Jewish leaders from Europe, North America and Israel to discuss the most pressing issues facing the Jewish people and the State of Israel. On this occasion, given the extraordinary circumstances, the Trilateral Dialogue will focus on urgent implementation of immediate and joint action items to combat Antisemitism, BDS and the Delegitimization of Israel.
Vladimir Sloutsker (IJC President and Co-Founder):
This gathering comes at a critical juncture for the Jewish communities of Europe and the State of Israel, with the surging wave of Antisemitism and the incessant, pernicious, global assault on the very legitimacy of the Jewish State having become the defining challenge of our time.
We are also honored to host, together with JFNA, our 4th Trilateral Dialogue, bringing together the most senior leadership of the European, North American and Israeli Jewish communities, in order to implement an immediate joint action plan to combat this hatred.
This will be a symbolic and powerful gathering of Jewish leaders from Europe, together with North America, to express our mutual joint solidarity with the State of Israel and to unequivocally show that we stand united, as one community, one people, ready for action.”
