HAKHEL – The Israeli Jewish Congresses expresses its deep sadness at the brutal terror attack against Israelis in Bulgaria and sends its condolences to the families of the victims.
The IJC was gravely shocked by the vicious terror attack in Burgas, Bulgaria on Wednesday afternoon, July 18th 2012 in which 5 Israeli tourists and their Bulgarian tour guide were killed and dozens were wounded.
We wish to convey our most heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wish the wounded a swift recovery.
IJC President Vladimir Sloutsker calls upon the leaders of the EU to ensure the security of Jewish communities throughout the continent and Israelis visiting Europe. It is time for the world to understand that terror strikes at us all and needs to be countered everywhere and always.
In these trying times, Jewish solidarity is of the utmost importance, we need to set aside our differences and be one people in the face of this cruel enemy.
