IJC Applauds Belgium Government for Halting Funds to PA Over Decision to Name School in Honor of Notorious Terrorist
The Israeli-Jewish Congress (IJC) applauds the Belgium government for its principled decision to halt funding to the Palestinian Authority over the PA decision to name a West Bank school in honour of notorious Palestinian terrorist Dalal Mughrabi, who was responsible for the Coastal Road Massacre in Israel, in which 38 people were murdered.
This move follows similar actions taken in the past year by the governments of UK, Norway and Denmark, who have either revoked or halted funds to the Palestinian Authority over their continued use of EU funds to glorify terrorists, including through the naming of schools and public institutions in their name.
The IJC calls on other European states to follow the principled lead of Belgium and these nations in unequivocally saying that no more EU funds will go to the PA as long as it continues to honour and glorify terrorists and murderers.
