IJC Statement on Today’s Terror Attack on Temple Mount
The Israeli-Jewish Congress (IJC) is deeply saddened by today’s terror attack in Jerusalem, in which two Israeli police officers were murdered on the Temple Mount.
The slain officers have been named as Haiel Sitawe (30) & Kamil Shnaan (22). Both were Druze from northern Israel. Sitawe leaves behind a wife and 3-week-old son. This is just heartbreaking beyond words and we express our deepest condolences to their families.
This bastardly act of cowardice and terror, committed by Arab Israeli terrorists, must be condemned immediately and unequivocally by all.
Furthermore, attacks such as these do not occur in a vacuum. They are the direct result of an infrastructure of hate and incitement from the Palestinian Authority, elements of the Arab Israeli political leadership and in particular, international bodies like UNESCO, which only acquiesce and inflame the Palestinian campaign of hate, lies and terror against Israel.
